The Rhode Island Convention Center (RICC), located conveniently in the heart of downtown Providence, is one of the premier venues under Oak View Group’s management. The Event Services Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all events taking place at the Rhode Island Convention Center. This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $65,000 to $70,000 and includes comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off including vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays. The position will remain open until December 5, 2025. In this role, the Event Services Manager is responsible for overseeing every aspect of event planning and execution at the venue. This includes liaising with promoters, show representatives, and sports teams to collect and distribute vital event information, managing admissions staffing plans, supervising labor, preparing billing and event reports, and maintaining high levels of customer service. The manager coordinates with various departments to ensure that event logistics, security, seating arrangements, and facility setups meet client and venue standards. The manager is also tasked with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising part-time box office ticket sellers and supervisors. They must cultivate and maintain excellent client relationships, using troubleshooting skills to resolve customer complaints and responding promptly to service inquiries. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment. The Event Services Manager also works closely with financial teams for account reconciliations and event settlements and is expected to be adaptable with a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays as necessary.   • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or other related field
  • 4-6 years of ticketing experience preferably in sports/entertainment facility
  • Experience with large-scale events in arena, stadium, or concert setting
  • Experience training and managing staff
  • Ability to work independently and motivate others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
