This role demands a comprehensive understanding of sales agreements and the ability to translate client needs into actionable plans that include detailed coordination of food, beverage, audiovisual requirements, room blocks, and billing procedures. The Event Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing event documents such as Event Orders, Event Diagrams, and invoices, ensuring all arrangements comply with hotel policies and client expectations. Acting as the on-site contract representative, the manager ensures events unfold smoothly and meet the high standards synonymous with Dreamscape and its hospitality partners.\n\nIn addition to managing the logistical and operational aspects of event coordination, the Event Planning Manager collaborates closely with the Director of Event Planning and Banquets to meet the hotel’s revenue goals and enhance client satisfaction scores. They are instrumental in forecasting group room usage and food and beverage revenue, maximizing profits while maintaining quality service. The role includes leading pre- and post-convention meetings, guiding site visits, and orchestrating pre-planning activities to prepare for upcoming events. • Bachelor's degree preferred
• Two plus years experience in hotel catering and/or convention services
• Knowledge of Delphi or Envision sales & catering system
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Must work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to maintain composure under high pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
