The role of Event Planning Coordinator at BYU’s Faculty Center is a dynamic and essential position responsible for managing the logistics and operations of faculty development events. This includes overseeing more than 100 workshops, seminars, and banquets each year, ensuring these events run smoothly and professionally. The coordinator provides leadership to a multi-layered team including an Assistant Event Coordinator and student employees, handling everything from budgeting and staffing to vendor coordination and event execution. This position demands excellent organizational skills, communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with over 30 campus units. Responsibilities also include direct management of event-related administrative tasks, such as scheduling venues, coordinating catering, managing event databases, and processing event expenses. By supporting faculty development initiatives, the Event Planning Coordinator plays a crucial role in advancing BYU’s commitment to faculty excellence and student success.
