We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parking and Customer Service Coordinator to join our full-time staff. Based in Denver, this role is instrumental in managing the parking inventory for special events on campus with minimal disruption to regular permit holders. This position offers an hourly wage between $21.50 and $22.50, reflective of experience and qualifications, along with a competitive salary grade of 6. The role emphasizes front-line customer service, addressing inquiries, directing patrons, processing permit requests, and handling appeals related to parking citations. The Parking and Customer Service Coordinator works closely with the Parking Manager and collaborates with various campus departments to maintain a comprehensive master calendar of parking events and requirements.
The role involves managing various day-to-day office operations, including multitasking through answering multiple phone lines, data entry related to customer permit purchases and citation payments, processing correspondence, and maintaining department records both electronically and physically. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to train new office or field personnel, providing guidance on customer service functions and operational procedures. They will act as an intermediary between the university and the public, professionally resolving billing disputes, tracking overdue accounts, and ensuring prompt communication of citation appeals.
A critical aspect of this position is the accurate maintenance of records using parking management software such as T2 PowerPark Flex, and financial systems like BANNER university software. The candidate will ensure the integrity of financial reconciliations and billing accuracy by comparing system-generated reports. This role demands a high level of organization, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under moderate to high-stress situations with unexpected interruptions. The Parking and Customer Service Coordinator is also expected to support special projects and contribute to improving daily office operations by leveraging new technologies and business practices.
Working Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., this position primarily operates within a standard office setting, requiring the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods, with some occasional movement around the office or campus. Candidates must have a clean background check and a valid driver’s license, underscoring the importance of trustworthiness and responsibility in this role.
