The role of Event Operations Intern is a vital position within the organization, offering internship candidates the opportunity to engage directly with the planning and execution of major sporting events. Focusing specifically on logistics, participant services, and on-site event operations, this spring internship provides a rich practical experience working on a variety of significant events including the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships and multiple basketball tournaments such as the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Conference Tournament, NCAA Division II and III Basketball Championships, and the Men’s NIT Championship. Of particular note is the opportunity to contribute to the planning and execution of the 2026 Men's Final Four and its related events, a major highlight on the collegiate basketball calendar. Interns in this role will support key event logistics and coordination tasks, facilitating smooth registrations, managing communications, coordinating vendors, and assisting with hospitality and other operational components. This position demands adaptability and teamwork, as interns will collaborate with various internal teams to ensure successful event outcomes. Moreover, the internship promotes professional development with responsibilities that include representing Indiana Sports Corp in a community-facing role, helping interns build strong communication and leadership skills. The internship is scheduled for Spring 2026, running from January through May, with a commitment of 4 to 5 days per week averaging 30 to 40 hours. Compensation is provided at a rate of $2,000 per semester. This is an on-site position located in Indianapolis, Indiana; applicants should note that relocation or housing accommodations are not provided.
