The role of Event Manager at BEST Crowd Management is a critical and multifaceted position responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of event operations. Reporting to the Assistant Account Manager or Account/Area Manager, the Event Manager plays a key leadership role ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction by effectively managing operational planning and service delivery. The position is based in Spokane, WA, with compensation offered at $25 per hour, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans, an employee assistance program, and paid time off.
As the Event Manager, you will be tasked with supporting a wide range of operational functions such as recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and managing security licensing. You will serve as the main supervisory contact for Event Supervisors, providing motivation, coaching, and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness. Maintaining positive client and security relationships through frequent contact and support is essential, alongside identifying and addressing issues during events by coordinating with management and clients. Emergency response and assistance with investigations are also crucial responsibilities, highlighting the need for strong decision-making skills and the ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
In this role, you will coordinate all technical and managerial aspects of event execution, respond promptly to client requests, assign tasks to supervisors and staff, and ensure all personnel understand and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will be responsible for the ongoing development of training programs and ensuring that the operational environment is organized, clean, and well-maintained. This position demands adaptability to changing situations as well as physical stamina, as it involves extensive periods of standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 45 pounds, often under varied weather conditions.
To succeed as an Event Manager with BEST Crowd Management, candidates must have proven experience in crowd management or related fields such as security, law enforcement, military, or emergency services. - Minimum one to three years of professional-level experience
