The Event Manager position at Andretti Indoor Karting and Games is a leadership role that reports directly to the General Manager or Assistant General Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Events Department, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and the facility operates at peak performance. The Event Manager will lead a team of hourly employees, managing staffing, scheduling, and training to cultivate an enthusiastic and efficient workforce. This position involves managing cost controls, maintaining service and operational standards, and adhering to policies, safety protocols, and sanitation requirements.
In addition to handling guest relations, cash control, and environmental controls, the Event Manager plays a critical role in motivating and developing team members to foster a culture of accountability, pride, and excellence throughout the facility. The role also requires working collaboratively with the sales department to coordinate event scheduling and planning, ensure inventory management, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of all departmental areas. This is a hands-on managerial position that requires active involvement in unit operations and a commitment to delivering legendary service.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000, with exciting quarterly bonus opportunities that can total up to $6,000 annually. Preferably, candidates will have a minimum of two years of management experience in hospitality or family entertainment and a proven track record of inspiring and developing teams. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods, manual dexterity for operating equipment, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, and functioning in an environment with variable lighting and loud noises.
