The role of Event Manager at Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Pioneer Square is a pivotal position focused on managing event documentation and coordination between the Sales team, various hotel departments, and customers. This role ensures a consistently high level of service throughout all phases of hotel events, from pre-event planning to the event itself, and post-event wrap-up. The Event Manager works closely with Sales to guarantee a seamless turnover and strives to maximize revenue by identifying upselling opportunities and offering enhancements that create outstanding event experiences. This position is nonexempt and offers an hourly salary range between $30 and $32, commensurate with experience and location. As the primary on-property contact for event planners following turnover, the Event Manager is responsible for overseeing their experience to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Prominent responsibilities include organizing, planning, and prioritizing duties effectively, maintaining clear and timely communication with clients and internal teams, and resolving conflicts or complaints diplomatically. The role also involves demonstrating thorough knowledge of hotel systems, services, and products, engaging in selling and influencing techniques to enhance client engagements, and contributing to the overall financial success of the property. Hilton supports its sales, catering, and events teams with a unique Short-Term Incentive Plan (SIP) that rewards performance, including incentives based on revenue goals. The Event Manager additionally participates in customer site inspections and assists with the sales process as needed.
