The hiring establishment is a vibrant and dynamic hospitality company that specializes in catering and event coordination services. Known for its commitment to excellence, the company provides a collaborative work environment where creativity and enthusiasm are highly valued. It is dedicated to growth and continuously improving its operations to meet the evolving needs of its clients and the hospitality industry at large. This hospitality company is now seeking an experienced and energetic Events Coordinator to join their team under the guidance of the Catering Sales Manager. The role involves assisting in all aspects of planning and coordinating events to ensure they run smoothly and successfully. The Events Coordinator will play a critical role in client relations, logistics management, and operational support. This opportunity is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment and enjoys working within a team to create memorable guest experiences. As an Events Coordinator, you will work closely with the Catering Sales Manager to fully understand client needs and event specifics prior to execution. This includes providing venue tours, assisting with menu selections, creating and communicating floor plans, and coordinating rentals and outside vendors. You will lead weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings with front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensure timely updates to event orders, and maintain departmental inventories, equipment, and banquet beverage controls. Scheduling staff effectively to uphold service standards and maximize profitability is also part of the role. During events, the Events Coordinator acts as the primary client contact, managing load-in, addressing guest requests, coordinating service staff and floor plans, and setting a positive example for the event team. The role demands active participation in event servicing, strong guest interaction skills for feedback gathering, and a continuous focus on service performance improvement. Beyond the actual event days, responsibilities include reviewing customer satisfaction feedback, implementing corrective actions to address service challenges, assisting with sales projects including offsite promotional events, and contributing new ideas for event setup and execution enhancements. This comprehensive position requires a high level of organization, leadership abilities, and a customer-centric approach to ensure the highest levels of guest satisfaction and business growth. Employment type for this position is full-time, and individuals with a flexible schedule to accommodate private event bookings will be especially suited. Competitive compensation will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
