The Event Coordinator role at Oak View Group is a critical position focused on managing all aspects of events hosted within the venue. Reporting to the Event Manager, the Event Coordinator acts as the central liaison between the venue's facility staff, event organizers, promoters, sports teams, and guests. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure to coordinate event logistics, manage security staffing plans, labor scheduling, and ensure effective communication of event information to all relevant departments. The coordinator is responsible for preparing event data sheets, handling billing and settlement processes, and delivering top-tier customer service to enhance guest satisfaction. This role is based at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, a pioneering venue purpose-built for TGL golf matches and home to six professional teams. The center spans nearly 250,000 square feet and is designed to host high-profile sports and entertainment events. The Event Coordinator will play a vital part in sustaining the operational integrity of this state-of-the-art facility by ensuring that all events are executed smoothly, facility policies are enforced, and safety concerns are promptly addressed. Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential to meet the demands of a bustling event calendar. The position offers an hourly wage of $20.00 and includes part-time benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with employer matching. • 4-year degree from a college or university preferred
• 1-2 year experience in same or similar position in arenas, convention centers, stadiums or theaters preferred
• Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
• Experience with Microsoft Office products preferred
• Experience with CAD software preferred
• Experience with Ticketmaster ticketing software preferred
