The role of Event Coordinator at Oak View Group is designed to be pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of events at their cutting-edge venues such as the SoFi Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in Palm Beach Gardens on the campus of Palm Beach State College. This 250,000 square foot arena is specially built to serve as the home for six professional teams and all TGL presented by SoFi golf matches, making it a dynamic and fast-paced environment requiring talented, devoted professionals.
As an Event Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to oversee all facets of the events occurring within the venue. This includes developing, coordinating, and supervising all event-related activities critical to the facility’s operations. Responsibilities extend to maintaining security staffing plans, managing labor, collecting and distributing event information from promoters, show representatives, and sports teams, as well as supporting billing preparation and offering exceptional customer service to all guests. The role serves as a liaison among a diverse range of stakeholders including the TMRW Sport Live Events team, event organizers, facility staff, service providers, and more.
Additionally, the Event Coordinator may either work alongside an Event Manager or manage events independently in the absence of one, demonstrating the importance of leadership, adaptability, and excellent organizational skills. This position is offered on an hourly basis with a pay rate of $20.00 an hour and includes part-time benefits such as a 401(k) Savings Plan with matching contributions, underscoring OVG’s commitment to employee financial well-being and future security.
Beyond the operational and administrative duties, this role demands an individual capable of managing complex event logistics, who is proactive in problem-solving, and excels at fostering collaboration between departments. Given the nature of live events, candidates must be willing and able to work flexible, sometimes demanding schedules which could include nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. - 4-year degree from a college or university preferred
- 1-2 year experience same or similar position in arenas, convention centers, stadiums or theaters preferred
- Ability to work flexible and sometimes demanding schedules including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, CAD and Ticketmaster ticketing software preferred
