This position is for an Event Coordinator who will play a vital role in supporting the sales department by managing various administrative functions that underpin the smooth operation of the event hosting process. This role is essential to the company’s mission of delivering unparalleled hospitality because behind every successful event is meticulous coordination and attention to detail. The Event Coordinator is responsible for finalizing event details through confirmation calls, managing contracts, and supporting sales efforts to book the valuable social market segment. With a salary range of $15 to $20.25 per hour, this full-time position offers a chance to be involved in both administrative responsibilities and the lively activity surrounding event sales.
As an Event Coordinator, the individual will serve as a bridge between guests, the sales team, and the operations staff, ensuring clear communication and seamless coordination. Responsibilities include handling requests from guests, updating contract information accordingly, converting inquiries into bookings, and conducting site tours when necessary. The person in this role will also manage paperwork distribution for pop-up parties and support the sales team by following up with event hosts after contracts are closed. Tasks such as tracking accounts receivable, collecting payment information, submitting check requests or invoices, and keeping the operations team informed with the most current Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are also integral parts of the job.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a "You Got It" attitude characterized by friendly, proactive, and effective communication. Strong organization and verbal skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret data to assist both operations and sales teams with decision-making. A clear command of the English language, both spoken and written, is required.
