This role focuses on keeping the backstage environment safe, clean, and show-ready to create an exceptional artist experience. The Evening Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the venue by performing a diverse range of duties related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment. This includes adhering to safety protocols, predictive, and preventative maintenance systems to support the venue’s operational goals. In this role, you will ensure high standards of cleanliness by disinfecting restrooms, keeping artist-facing areas free of trash, and restocking necessary materials. Additionally, you will maintain work areas and equipment, assist with emergency repairs during productions, participate in sustainability programs, and perform simple machinist duties. Physical stamina is important in this position, as it requires constant walking, climbing stairs, and lifting items weighing over 50 pounds. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, capable of independent work, and committed to safety and meticulous upkeep of the venue.
