As a member of the housekeeping team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all patient rooms, care areas, offices, hallways, and other assigned spaces are aseptically clean and visually welcoming to patients, visitors, and staff. The position directly affects the first impressions for every person who enters the facility, making your attention to detail a critical aspect of patient experience and satisfaction. Your responsibilities include removing soiled linens and waste, cleaning hard floor surfaces through dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Additionally, you will maintain carpeted floors by vacuuming, shampooing, and extracting, as well as cleaning and sanitizing furniture, fittings, walls, ceilings, vents, glass surfaces, and more. You will follow rigorous security measures when cleaning sensitive areas such as medication rooms and refrigerators and show a deep respect and understanding for medication inventory control and security. Efficient and safe utilization of cleaning tools and equipment is expected, alongside the proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment when necessary. Reporting any damaged or unsafe equipment promptly to your supervisor is also part of your duties. This role demands effective time management as you complete all job assignments within scheduled requirements while maintaining safety and efficiency. Communication skills are prioritized, as you will establish open and respectful interaction with customers, co-workers, and supervisors. You are expected to report any unsafe conditions found in your work area to the appropriate supervisor and participate in ongoing educational programs and in-service meetings to keep your skills and knowledge up to date. Basic computer familiarity and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in English are preferred for this role. The position offers competitive hourly wages ranging from USD $18.00 to $25.73.
