This opportunity is for the position of Housekeeper (EVS Assistant) within the Environmental Services department at Lutheran Life Villages. The role transcends conventional housekeeping duties by integrating resident interaction and care into everyday responsibilities. As a Housekeeper, you are entrusted with the task of ensuring that all areas within the facility, including resident halls, common spaces, lounges, bathrooms, and offices, are meticulously cleaned and maintained to uphold a safe and sanitary environment. In addition to cleaning duties, the position includes responsibilities related to laundry services, supporting the campus's operational needs by managing linens, clothing, and other laundry-related items.
The role demands a high level of attention to detail when performing tasks like dust mopping, bathroom sanitation, waste disposal, furniture dusting, vacuuming, and spot cleaning. Housekeepers are also responsible for inspecting the premises and documenting maintenance needs, thus playing a pivotal part in facility upkeep. Laundry duties consist of transporting soiled linens, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing clean linens, along with attending to residents' personal laundry requests.
