The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager at CoreSite plays a critical role within the Data Center Operations team, spearheading initiatives that ensure workplace safety, health, and environmental sustainability. This role is designed for an experienced professional who independently leads the development and management of comprehensive safety and sustainability programs across both data center and corporate settings. The ideal candidate will apply advanced knowledge of regulatory compliance, environmental science, and safety standards to train staff, execute audits, manage risk, and promote sustainable operational practices. Key responsibilities include designing safety programs where none exist, conducting thorough safety audits, investigating incidents with corrective action, managing safety equipment, and formulating innovative strategies to reduce the company’s ecological footprint. The manager will also have the opportunity to collaborate with vendors and customers on sustainability initiatives, oversee training programs, and provide senior management with detailed, data-driven reports to inform strategic decisions.
With a hybrid work model requiring onsite presence at least two days a week and travel flexibility up to 25 percent, this position offers a dynamic work environment geared towards professionals who excel in project management, communication, data analysis, and staff training. The role offers a competitive base salary between $120,000 and $130,000 annually, complemented by eligibility for an annual bonus and equity incentives tied to individual and company performance. - Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of safety and sustainability management experience
- Between 5-10 years technical procedure and policy writing experience
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and sustainability practices
- Certification in safety management preferred
- Certification in sustainability preferred
- Ability to operate in a process-driven team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and address issues outside normal working hours
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
