Currently, Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa is seeking an Entry Level Cook to join their culinary team at Pete's Sunset Grille, a vibrant and busy kitchen known for delivering fresh and flavorsome dishes. This position offers aspiring culinary professionals a unique opportunity to grow their skills in a fast-paced hotel environment. An entry level cook at Hyatt is expected to have foundational culinary knowledge and cooking skills, ideally supported by hotel cooking experience or a culinary degree. The role requires working efficiently in single kitchen stations with a focus on precision, quality, and teamwork. Entry level cooks are supported with training and supervision to build their expertise and advance their culinary careers within Hyatt’s vast network of over 700 hotels and resorts. The job involves standing for long periods, walking long distances, and the physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate weights in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure kitchen setting. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays, is essential for success.

                - High school diploma or equivalent
 - Two years of relevant cooking experience preferred
 - Culinary degree or certificate preferred
 - Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull moderate weights
 - Ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances
 - California Food Handlers Certification required
 - Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
