We are currently seeking a Corporate Leave of Absence and Workplace Accommodations Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This non-exempt, full-time role with an annual salary range of $58,000 to $62,000 (based on experience) plays a vital role in supporting corporate compliance with labor and employment laws while enhancing employee experience through effective leave and accommodations management. The specialist will act as both a strategic advisor and hands-on partner to employees and managers, focusing on administering leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, and managing work-related injury claims with adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
In this role, you will guide employees through various claim processes, including those involving our Third-Party Administrator, Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave (WA PFML), and Washington Labor & Industries, offering clear communication about timelines, responsibilities, and documentation requirements. You will be instrumental in facilitating the interactive process between employees and managers, providing timely updates on leave statuses and accommodation periods, and delivering targeted training sessions for corporate managers. Your work will ensure that HRIS and third-party systems remain aligned, that claims are promptly reported and processed, and that confidential medical and personnel information is securely maintained.
Beyond your core duties, you will collaborate across internal teams and external partners, contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and operational efficiencies, escalate issues wisely, and uphold Expeditors' celebrated corporate culture marked by attributes such as integrity, excellence, pride, and visionary leadership.
