Aimbridge Hospitality is a leading global third-party hotel management company known for its commitment to innovation, excellence in hospitality, and delivering outstanding guest experiences. With a diverse portfolio spanning numerous hotel brands and types, Aimbridge specializes in operating full-service and select-service hotels that combine robust operational frameworks with local market insights to maximize profitability and guest satisfaction. The company cultivates a supportive and dynamic work environment that encourages professional development, collaboration, and a high standard of service performance across all managed properties. Aimbridge Hospitality's reputation within the hotel industry is built on its ability to harness advanced sales and marketing strategies, driven leadership, and comprehensive operational management to consistently achieve business growth and elevate brand standards. This particular opportunity is for the role of Director of Sales - Select Service at one of Aimbridge Hospitality's select-service hotels located conveniently in Valencia, California. Situated just off Freeway 5 and minutes away from Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park, the hotel integrates contemporary comfort with excellent hospitality, offering guests amenities such as a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and an evening reception with complimentary drinks and snacks in a lush, open-air atrium setting. As the Director of Sales, the individual will have direct oversight of sales and marketing operations with the primary goal of achieving optimal occupancy rates and increasing Average Daily Rate (ADR) to maximize total revenue while aligning with and exceeding the hotel's profit objectives. A key part of the role involves managing the sales and marketing budget, forecasting, as well as developing and executing advertising, marketing, and business plans tailored specifically for the select-service hotel. The role is critical in setting a proactive sales strategy, engaging in external sales calls, negotiating contracts, and establishing a strong local presence in the community and hospitality industry to identify and secure new revenue opportunities. This position demands a leader with advanced sales and marketing knowledge, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently while simultaneously handling multiple complex tasks. The Director of Sales will be expected to coach their team through effective performance management and training methods, maintain robust visibility among local business partners, and ensure adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality's standards and sales metrics. Additionally, the role requires traveling approximately on a weekly basis, representing the hotel and acting on behalf of the General Manager when necessary. Strong analytical skills and strategic vision are vital for adapting sales deployment plans based on evolving market trends and performance data. Management-level associates, including this role, are expected to dedicate sufficient time and effort to meet and exceed business goals, including working overtime as required. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package following an initial waiting period, featuring medical, dental, vision coverage, income disability plans, life insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan.
