This job opening offers a competitive wage starting from $17.70 to $29.25 per hour, classified under hourly employment. The role is essential to supporting general business operations by delivering comprehensive clerical and administrative assistance to the department. The successful candidate will engage in various administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, and scanning, ensuring smooth communication and cooperation with customer service, billing, dispatch, and other relevant departments. A significant part of the role involves managing End of Shift (EOS) reviews and corrections for specific regions, reconciling driver inventories to company records, and collaborating with drivers and office personnel to maintain inventory integrity aligned with PDI transactions.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring proper distribution and delivery based on analytical reports, keeping departmental records accurate and current, assisting the truck technology department with handheld devices and barcodes, and providing excellent customer service to walk-in customers by processing invoices and payments and responding to product inquiries. The candidate will also prepare daily bank deposits, balance cash boxes, and maintain appropriate cash levels for transactions. By supporting office staff and guests consistently and embodying the company’s core values, this role is pivotal to Pilot Company's operational success. Furthermore, proficiency in PDI systems and handling various payment methods at the card lock in El Cajon is required, alongside assisting with inventory tasks to ensure transaction accuracy. - High school diploma
- Valid California commercial driver license preferred
- Minimum two years’ professional driving experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- Knowledge of warehousing and logistics procedures and policies
- Experience with hazardous materials, lube products, and dispatching is preferred
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail required
- Excellent organizational skills required
- Strong customer service and telephone communication skills
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and tracking systems
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems
