The role of the Assistant to the Director of Front Office is a critical position within Hospitality Parking. This role involves supervising the front desk team to ensure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The assistant will support the Director of Front Office by training staff on service expectations, hotel facilities, safety protocols, property management systems, and emergency procedures. This training ensures that the front desk team is fully equipped to provide excellent service and handle guest inquiries professionally. In this role, you will monitor the performance of front desk agents, recommending corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain high standards of service. The position requires completing opening and closing shift duties attentively, including communicating any outstanding guest requests or issues to management for follow-up. Your leadership at the front desk ensures an efficient check-in and check-out process, contributing to overall guest satisfaction and maximizing the financial performance of the department. The Assistant to the Director of Front Office must respond to guest inquiries with accuracy and professionalism, whether in person, by phone, or through other communication channels. You will also perform additional duties like guest room tours, concierge services, and addressing special guest requests as assigned. Being proactive in anticipating sold-out situations, managing room allocations according to guest preferences, and coordinating with housekeeping to ensure room readiness are essential aspects of this role. Supervising daily shift processes, reviewing reports, and supporting ongoing training for front desk agents are routine activities integral to maintaining smooth front desk operations. The role demands strong leadership qualities, the ability to resolve conflicts efficiently, and the capacity to build strong relationships with other hotel departments. Handling cash transactions responsibly and adhering strictly to accounting and cash handling policies are also fundamental components of the job.
