This entry-level role involves performing routine tasks under immediate supervision or guided instructions within food production and service areas. Responsibilities include assisting in food preparation — ranging from meats, vegetables, baked goods, desserts, beverages, salads, dressings, sandwiches to cold plates — and using a variety of food production equipment such as slicers, choppers, dicers, mixers, and patty making machines. This position ensures that food service areas are clean and properly maintained, including washing dishes with dish machines, cleaning, sweeping, mopping floors, and managing refuse. Food Service Workers also help facilitate the setup of serving areas and ensure that food temperatures and displays meet safety standards.
