The Driver role at Main Street Recovery is a vital position focused on providing safe and reliable transportation services to residents. This position involves transporting residents to various activities including but not limited to day trips, overnight trips, recovery meetings, medical appointments, and special events. The driver serves an essential supportive function by ensuring that transportation logistics do not become a barrier to residents’ participation in recovery and wellness activities that are crucial to their rehabilitation process. The driver also supports the recovery house by assisting with other duties such as vehicle maintenance, safety protocols, and general support roles as needed within the facility. This role demands a high level of responsibility as it involves direct interaction with a vulnerable population, requiring sensitivity, patience, and excellent communication skills. Emphasis is placed on cultural sensitivity, particularly understanding and respecting Native American culture, which is integral to the community the recovery house serves. The starting wage for this position ranges between $18.86 and $24.07 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role while aligning with community wage standards. This is an on-site, part-time to full-time position depending on organizational needs and scheduling.   • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of experience working with the elderly population or closely related experience
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license or must obtain one upon hire
  • Must qualify for the Tribe’s vehicle insurance
  • Provide proof of personal vehicle insurance
  • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certificate within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to obtain Food Handler’s card within 60 days of hire
  • Knowledge of Native American culture
  • Dependability and ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
  • Must pass criminal and character background checks
  • May be subject to fingerprinting
