District Shift Leaders participate in targeted training focused on mastering the operations and management skills necessary to run a successful bakery. These leaders balance working at a home store with visits to other nearby bakeries, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to diverse management styles. In this role, leaders are expected to manage daily bakery operations, including early morning store openings as soon as 3 a.m. They supervise a team, lead by example, and ensure that each customer enjoys high-quality food and beverages in a clean, safe environment. In addition to operational responsibilities, District Shift Leaders receive comprehensive training in crucial business skills such as inventory control, vendor relations, cash management, financial analysis, and staff scheduling. • Must be at least 18 years old
• must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• minimum of 2 years leadership experience preferred
• ability to work varied hours including early mornings and weekends starting as early as 3am
• must pass background check
• must possess current, valid driver’s license
• must complete Bagel Brands ServSafe Certification by the end of the General Manager development plan if not already certified
• able to fill in for General Managers at other locations
• must accept a permanent General Manager promotion when available
• physically able to sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during work hours
