The Dishwasher role is a full-time position that reports directly to the Food Services Manager. The position offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $18.76 to $21.16, reflecting the importance of the tasks involved and the dedication required to maintain strict cleanliness standards. This role is essential in supporting the operations of the school cafeteria, ensuring that all kitchenware, utensils, and dining areas are properly sanitized and ready for use. The Dishwasher will be involved in multiple duties including washing pots and pans, cleaning work surfaces, emptying trash, sweeping floors, and preparing the cafeteria tables for dinner service. This role also includes responsibilities such as wrapping silverware for each meal, filling the milk cooler, and contributing to safety compliance.
In addition to the functional cleaning tasks, the Dishwasher may also participate in training programs that enhance their skills and knowledge in food service sanitation and safety procedures. The position requires a commitment to upholding all safety regulations and practices, which is critical in a school setting where students and staff interact. The candidate must be physically capable of handling tasks such as lifting up to fifty pounds and performing repetitive cleaning activities throughout the workday. This role is designed for individuals who possess a high school diploma, GED, or HiSET certificate and hold a standard driver’s license, class C or D.
