The role of Dishwasher/Porter at Sifted is integral to the culinary team delivering high-quality daily lunches to some of the most exciting startups. This position is full-time, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining stringent food safety and cleanliness standards while supporting overall kitchen operations. As a dishwasher/porter, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the kitchen remains organized, clean, and efficient. Beyond dishwashing responsibilities, this position involves receiving and properly storing food shipments, organizing storage spaces, performing cleaning duties such as managing trash and cardboard, and assisting with light food preparation. Effective communication with the chef and management regarding any kitchen-related concerns is crucial. This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to perform various kitchen tasks that require bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
