In the dishwasher/utility role, the employee is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all restaurant areas, including sanitizing dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Safe and proper operation of the dishwasher and other kitchen equipment is a critical part of the job. The dishwasher also plays a supportive role in the kitchen, assisting cooks with food prep tasks, such as preparing Red Lobster's signature Cheddar Bay biscuits and supporting team efficiency wherever needed. Emphasis is placed on working collaboratively as one kitchen team, keeping guest satisfaction and team cooperation at the forefront of every decision. Physical endurance is necessary for this position due to the demands of bending, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds safely, moving around the restaurant, and standing for extended shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.
