The opportunity at hand is for the position of Director of Digital Strategic Regulatory Services (SRS) within RTX Enterprise Services. This hybrid role, based remotely in the United States (Virginia area), demands a seasoned leader with deep expertise in regulatory compliance related to digital assets and information systems within the aerospace and defense sector. The Director will spearhead the strategic development and execution of regulatory compliance programs that align with RTX’s business objectives while ensuring robust governance, security, and resilience of the company's digital infrastructure. This role requires an active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship due to the sensitive nature of the work. With a competitive salary range from $176,000 to $352,000, this position offers a rewarding career pathway in a company that values innovation, compliance excellence, and operational efficiency.
The Director of Digital Strategic Regulatory Services will be responsible for continuously monitoring and adapting to emerging regulatory requirements domestically and internationally, guaranteeing that RTX’s global sites conform to various digital policies, contractual obligations, and local regulations. The candidate will bring a comprehensive understanding of digital controls frameworks and regulatory standards such as Part-IS, ISO, NIS2, NIST, CMMC, GDPR, CIS, and SCF. This leadership role entails managing digital control programs, facilitating organization-wide compliance assessments and certifications, and innovating operational strategies utilizing a Unified Controls Framework to streamline regulatory testing and compliance activities.
Moreover, this position calls for a proactive leader who can guide and mentor a specialized team of regulatory and controls professionals, inspiring a culture of continuous improvement and aligning with RTX’s core values. Collaboration across various departments including IT, cybersecurity, audit, legal, and compliance is essential to establish integrated regulatory and policy testing approaches. With approximately 25 percent travel expected, the director will also serve as a subject matter expert on digital regulatory matters, advising internal stakeholders and driving excellence in digital regulatory compliance across RTX’s extensive operations.
- University degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
- Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 12 years of relevant experience
- At least 12 years of experience in digital controls or cybersecurity-related roles
- Minimum 5 years in leadership positions
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to travel approximately 25 percent
- Proven skills in communication and interpersonal relations
- Experience working in aerospace and defense sectors preferred
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate with cross-functional teams
