The Director of Office Operations and Presidential Events is a vital, exempt role serving within the President's Office and reporting directly to the Chief of Staff. This position demands a high degree of responsibility, requiring independent and recurring interaction with senior-level administrators including Vice Presidents, Deans, Directors, Department Heads, members of the Board of Trustees, alumni, students, and external vendors. The role is multifaceted, encompassing both administrative management and strategic event planning and execution for the Office of the President.
As the lead for Presidential Events, the Director oversees all aspects from planning and budgeting to execution and post-event analysis for high-profile gatherings such as Fall Convocation, Mass of the Holy Spirit, Commencement, and other significant alumni and stakeholder events. This requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain alignment with the college’s mission. The Director manages staff including the Assistant Director of Events and collaborates extensively with internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless event execution, including managing vendor relationships, coordinating guest lists and invitations, and preparing briefing materials.
In addition to event management responsibilities, the Director supports the President and Chief of Staff with administrative tasks such as travel coordinating, preparing presentations and reports, managing the President’s schedule and expenditure reports, and providing support for the President's Council and the Board of Trustees. The role also includes overseeing the President’s Suite operations and ensuring excellent customer service and smooth administrative workflows.
This position requires a professional who demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills, digital literacy, and a keen understanding of a Catholic and Jesuit work environment. Le Moyne College offers a competitive annual salary range of $65,000 to $80,000 and a comprehensive benefits package including retirement contributions, health insurance options, tuition coverage, and generous paid time off.
