We are excited to offer a full-time opportunity for a Director of Sales at AC Hotel Chapel Hill. This role is perfect for a sophisticated and driven sales professional who thrives on creating and executing strategic sales initiatives that drive revenue growth and maximize profitability. The Director of Sales will lead the hotels sales department, crafting and implementing comprehensive plans that align with the overall business objectives. This position demands a dynamic individual who can build and maintain strong client relationships, lead and inspire a sales team, and drive business development through innovative and effective sales solutions.
The Director of Sales will engage regularly with various stakeholders, including corporations, travel agencies, group clients, and industry partners, to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. Collaboration with marketing, revenue management, and operations teams is crucial to ensuring that sales efforts are cohesive and aligned with brand standards and company policies. The role also involves representing AC Hotel Chapel Hill at trade shows, networking events, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and establish valuable connections in the hospitality market.
Ideal candidates will possess at least 5 to 7 years of progressive sales experience within the hospitality industry, including a minimum of 2 years in a senior sales leadership role. A bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, marketing, or a related field is required, with an MBA considered a strong advantage. Proficiency in sales CRM software, Microsoft Office applications, and a deep understanding of hotel revenue management principles are essential. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills will enable the Director of Sales to effectively promote the hotels offerings and secure business partnerships.
This position may require some travel, including overnight and outside the local area, to accommodate sales calls, client meetings, and industry events. Physical requirements include the ability to walk and stand for extended periods as part of the job duties. The Director of Sales will report directly to the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales, working closely with them to ensure alignment with company goals and operational standards. The pay scale ranges from $36.96 to $91.79 per hour depending on the state and market.
