The position available is that of Director of Operations, reporting directly to the General Manager. This exempt role plays a critical leadership function by overseeing multiple operational areas including In-Room Dining, Banquets, Kitchen, Costa Grill, Stewarding, Breakfast, Pool and Beach Recreation, Walkthroughs, Beachfront Dinners, AcquaMarine Kids Program, the Employee Cafeteria, and the guest experience at affiliated establishments such as Ke-uH and Il Mulino New York. The Director of Operations ensures operational excellence and seamless coordination across all outlets, channels, and recreational spaces. They act as a key operational liaison for third-party dining partners, safeguarding brand alignment and service quality. More than 60 percent of the role involves engaging directly with guests to provide personalized attention, uphold Acqualina’s luxury service standards, and foster memorable experiences. This role demands a seasoned leader with deep expertise in luxury hospitality, exceptional management capabilities, and strong understanding of various service styles including French, Russian, butler, and tableside services. The Director of Operations will lead by example, driving performance through financial oversight of food and beverage outlets, labor management, training, and mentoring of department leaders and teams exceeding 50 employees. Additional responsibilities include strategic planning collaboration, development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, comprehensive audits to ensure 5-star standard adherence, compliance with health and safety regulations, and continuous program innovation in partnership with marketing and restaurant outlets. Serving as Manager on Duty when assigned, the Director ensures leadership continuity and operational consistency across all departments. This multifaceted leadership role combines strategic oversight with direct hands-on presence in guest-facing areas, making it essential to maintaining Acqualina’s renowned reputation for service excellence and guest satisfaction.

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
• minimum of five years of progressive management experience in luxury hospitality
• strong leadership skills and experience managing large teams
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• proficiency with Micros POS and knowledge of Opera and HotSOS
• food handling and alcohol awareness certifications required
• ability to stand or walk for extended periods in hot environments
• ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally move heavier objects with assistance
