The Director, Event Technology II (DET II) is a senior leadership role within Encore responsible for overseeing all aspects of event technology operations at one or more assigned venues, which may range in revenue size from $900,000 to $3,750,000. Reporting directly to the Area Director, Venues or Regional Vice President, Venues, the DET II is tasked with driving operational efficiency, maximizing revenue, and ensuring world-class service delivery. This role requires a strong blend of technical knowledge, financial management prowess, sales strategy, and people leadership. The DET II must skillfully manage labor, equipment, and inventory while maintaining a safe and quality-driven environment for event execution. A key responsibility includes managing the location’s profitability through cost controls, accurate forecasting, billing coordination, and financial reporting. The role entails direct involvement with event setups, personnel scheduling, service quality assurance, and equipment troubleshooting. The Director must cultivate strong partnerships with venue staff and key customers, consistently seeking opportunities to improve service offerings and expand business. The sales aspect includes developing strategies in collaboration with regional sales leaders, delivering persuasive presentations, preparing detailed proposals, and supporting customer engagement through site visits and planning meetings. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of audio-visual experience
• At least 2 years of operations or supervisory experience
