Canteen is currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals for the full-time position of Cashier/Food Service Worker at their Mack Trucks location in Macungie, Pennsylvania. This role is vital in maintaining an efficient, clean, and welcoming foodservice environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, offering candidates a stable and predictable workweek with weekends and holidays off. This position comes with a fixed pay rate of $17.00 per hour, along with bonus opportunities and additional perks such as employer-provided uniforms and an internal employee referral bonus. The Cashier/Food Service Worker will operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to manage customer transactions accurately while assisting in food preparation and maintaining cleanliness at the coffee and cashier stations. This role involves supporting culinary operations by preparing various foods, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, as well as assisting with catering orders. The worker also performs essential inventory and restocking duties to ensure that food products and supplies are readily available and properly organized. In addition, maintaining food safety standards, such as temperature monitoring and using the first in, first out product rotation method, is critical to this role. Ideal candidates will bring at least one year of cash handling and foodservice experience, demonstrating strong customer service skills and reliability.
