The City of Ankeny is currently seeking a highly qualified candidate for the full-time position of Airport Manager at the Ankeny Regional Airport. This critical role reports directly to the City Manager and involves comprehensive administrative responsibilities along with project management duties related to the oversight of all facilities managed by the Polk County Aviation Authority (PCAA). The position commands a starting salary ranging from $82,135 to $95,081 annually, dependent on relevant professional experience. The Airport Manager will act as the primary liaison between the city, the PCAA Board, federal and state aviation authorities, and key stakeholders involved in airport operations. The incumbent will also manage relationships with the Fixed Base Operator and various contractors, ensuring smooth daily business activities and maintenance operations at the airport.
