The Cook plays an active role in managing food inventory, maintaining proper food storage, and organizing workstations to facilitate efficient kitchen operations. Key responsibilities include preparing food items following recipe specifications, properly storing and rotating stock, maintaining correct food temperatures, and ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, griddles, and utensils. The Cook also assists with inventory control and delivery management, monitors food waste and cost controls, and supports fellow team members, including service assistants, during peak operations. This position demands physical stamina to handle lifting supplies, working in varying temperature conditions, and maintaining mobility within the kitchen space.
