In this role, the Nuclear Pharmacy Driver is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of radiopharmaceuticals and oncology pharmaceuticals to a variety of medical facilities including acute care hospitals, retail customers, ambulatory care, specialty practices, and alternate site locations. This position requires driving company vehicles (non-commercial driver's license required) to deliver medications while adhering strictly to safety guidelines and Department of Transportation standards. In addition to delivery duties, the role involves packaging medications for shipment, performing quality testing, loading and unloading containers, and handling returned packages. Drivers must also maintain their vehicles to ensure proper working condition and may be called upon to perform minor roadside repairs when necessary. The position operates on a fixed schedule with four 10-hour days per week, typically from 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with Wednesdays off. Flexibility to work other hours and days when needed is required to meet the demands of the role. Ideal candidates for this role will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and experience in delivery driving, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry. They must be capable of managing physical demands, such as lifting weights up to 65 pounds and driving in all weather conditions. Strong customer service and communication skills are vital, along with the ability to use handheld devices such as tablets for scanning orders and navigating routes.
