The Delivery Driver role at HD Supply is essential for ensuring timely and safe transportation of merchandise to customers using company-provided or rental vehicles, primarily box trucks or similar vehicles. This position involves the physical loading and unloading of inventory using powered and non-powered material handling equipment. The delivery driver maintains detailed records of deliveries, conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with the Department of Transportation regulations, and provides exemplary customer service by addressing order and delivery issues during their routes. This role requires a valid driver’s license and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR), and the company continuously monitors these records to ensure compliance and safety standards. Delivery drivers play a critical role in maintaining communication with the distribution centers to receive route updates and respond promptly to delivery interruptions such as traffic or missing orders. Candidates for this role should possess the ability to execute some independent judgment while working under general supervision according to established policies and procedures. Typically, the work environment includes exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery, and physical exertion, requiring drivers to be physically capable of handling these demands. The employment type for this position is full-time, with an hourly pay range between $24.00 and $27.60. The company strongly prefers candidates with a high school diploma or GED, alongside 2-5 years of relevant experience and specialized skills or certifications related to delivery, vehicle operation, or material handling. Previous experience delivering merchandise with box trucks, operating material handling equipment, wholesale distribution, and maintaining a clean driving record are highly desired qualifications. • Valid driver’s license
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record status with no more than 2 minor accidents in the past 3 years
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting 50+ pounds and maneuvering heavy or awkward material
• Ability to operate material handling equipment
• Ability to perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Willingness to travel overnight less than 10% of the time
