As a Deli Bakery Associate at Military Deli & Bakery Services, your core responsibility involves delivering exceptional customer service while performing a variety of deli and bakery tasks. You will be responsible for preparing deli meats and cheeses, making custom sandwiches, and assembling party trays tailored to customer specifications. The role also demands attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness, proper sanitation, and safe food handling practices within your department. Beyond the deli, there is an exciting variety of duties that may include baking, cake decorating, and preparing rotisserie chicken. • Must be 18 years of age
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
• Effective and friendly communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
• Team player
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus
• Some weekend shifts are required
