The Manager, Lounge Operations position is a pivotal role committed to overseeing the daily operations of six exclusive donor lounges within the Kennedy Center. These lounges, strategically designed as premium hospitality spaces, cater to a distinguished group of donors and VIP guests including those affiliated with the Development department, the Office of Government Relations and Protocol, and the Office of the President. The role requires managing both the Member Lounges and Circles Lounges that cater to high-level donors and institutional VIPs. In this capacity, the Manager ensures that operations meet the highest hospitality standards and that all elements from food and beverage service to vendor relationships and event coordination work seamlessly to create a memorable and gracious donor experience. This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive salary in the range of $72,000 to $82,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. The Manager holds significant responsibility for budget oversight, inventory management, and supervising a team including lounge attendant bartenders. Coordination with multiple internal departments including Development, Facilities, Volunteer Management, and Catering Services is essential to the success of the lounges. The incumbent is expected to work autonomously while maintaining strong collaborative ties across the institution. Furthermore, the manager is entrusted to uphold and sometimes delicately enforce policies related to donor engagement, showing both discretion and good judgment in balancing organizational priorities with exemplary customer service. This position plays a critical role in strengthening donor relations and enhancing the Center's fundraising capabilities through exceptional hospitality and administrative leadership.
