The AC Hotel Dayton, part of the Shaner Hotels family, offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a modern, 134-room hotel located in the vibrant Water Street District of Dayton, Ohio. This property features unique amenities including rooftop bar and restaurant facilities with stunning views overlooking the Dayton Dragons baseball stadium. The position available is an integral part of the Food and Beverage Department, playing a critical role in ensuring guests have a superior dining and beverage experience.
As a Food and Beverage team member, the role requires flexibility and dedication to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs. The individual will be responsible for taking food and drink orders, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and handling payments while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and hospitality. This role also emphasizes safety and quality, ensuring all food and beverage items comply with Shaner, hotel, and franchise standards. Additionally, effective communication with management, supervisors, and team members is essential to maintain seamless operations.
The role demands attentiveness to detail and readiness to assist in maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness and equipment functionality. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar customer-facing role, be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred. Training or certification in ServSafe or food safety and alcohol awareness, such as TIPS, is required. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are an advantage, along with knowledge of local attractions to better assist guests in creating a memorable experience during their stay.
