The role of Line Cook at Megaplex’s new Cinema Entertainment Center is a pivotal culinary position responsible for preparing high-quality, delicious meals that contribute significantly to our guests' overall entertainment experience. As a Line Cook with Megaplex, you will quickly and accurately prepare a variety of delicious dishes, set up your workstation according to strict organizational standards, and ensure that all food preparation follows safety and quality guidelines. You will be adept at using kitchen tools and equipment, regularly inspecting product freshness and quality, and adhering to all sanitation standards. The job also requires diligent inventory management, including rotating and labeling food products and maintaining proper storage conditions. Furthermore, your role encompasses monitoring equipment functionality, maintaining above-average cleanliness and hygiene standards, and actively participating in the continuous learning of new menu items and specials. Being a team player is essential, as you will support other departments as needed and contribute to a smooth, efficient kitchen operation. This is a full-time position offering a competitive wage ranging from $14 to $19 per hour depending on experience. • 1-2 years experience in a guest-service related field preferred
• Minimum 1-year work experience in high-volume kitchen
• Be a team player with the willingness and ability to assist as needed in other departments
• Prior experience in related food and beverage service and food preparation positions
• Thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation
• Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and health codes
• Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
• Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Exceptional time management skills
• Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure
