As a Day Porter at Velociti Services, you will join the frontline team responsible for upholding cleanliness standards at various client sites. This role is structured as a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm. The Day Porter plays a vital part in commercial cleaning operations by performing essential custodial duties such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and waste removal. This position requires a strong focus on safety compliance, teamwork, and customer service to ensure client expectations are not only met but exceeded. Successful candidates will be expected to follow established safety guidelines, work collaboratively with co-workers, maintain a clean and organized work area, and communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, and clients. Additional key responsibilities include supporting the shift lead with completing punch-list items, filling in during staff shortages, utilizing proper personal protective equipment, and presenting a professional appearance and conduct at all times. A strong understanding of customer service principles and the ability to instill trust and satisfaction in the client environment are crucial for this role. The position encompasses a variety of day-to-day activities, including but not limited to vacuuming, edging, dusting, stocking and cleaning restrooms and breakrooms, window cleaning, trash collection and disposal, sweeping and mopping floors. Candidates should be physically capable of lifting up to 60 pounds, performing bending, squatting, and stretching motions, climbing stairs multiple times throughout the day, and standing for prolonged periods.
