The Custodian/Customer Service Representative (CSR) role at SBM Management is designed for hardworking and dependable individuals who excel in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction while maintaining pristine cleanliness in assignment areas. The position requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work effectively within a team, and the capability to follow explicit oral and written instructions accurately. Custodians take pride in their work, demonstrating good judgment in decision-making, and often serve as mentors by aiding in training others and demonstrating work processes. This role is pivotal in representing SBM Management’s commitment to service excellence. Responsibilities include floor care such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting; surface care including dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning glass or mirrors; waste removal tasks; light maintenance duties like replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies; and ensuring compliance with safety rules and company policies. Custodians also participate actively in maintaining professional appearance and conduct, using proper personal protective equipment, and understanding reporting systems and environmental protocols.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $25.00 to $26.00, with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. - must have reliable transportation
- less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc.
- required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, will also require proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- bilingual is a plus, not required
