The role of Director of Strategy at Invited is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional seeking to make a significant impact in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Strategy, the Director of Strategy is a pivotal leader responsible for advancing Invited's ambitious growth agenda across Golf & Country Clubs and Business & City Clubs segments. This position requires an individual who can think strategically while also being hands-on in managing crucial projects and initiatives. The Director will work closely with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to translate high-level enterprise strategies into tangible operational plans that drive measurable outcomes.
This hybrid role offers a blend of office and remote work, typically requiring two to three days per week on-site to foster collaboration and effective communication. The Director of Strategy will spearhead strategic planning and execution, develop comprehensive business cases to evaluate new growth opportunities, and provide deep analytical insights through financial modeling, market research, and competitive benchmarking. A key aspect of the role is the ability to communicate complex recommendations clearly through executive-level presentations to senior leadership, including the SVP of Strategy, Chief Strategy Officer, and the Board.
Leadership in project and change management is critical, as the Director will oversee the lifecycle of strategic initiatives, from scoping through execution, ensuring timely deliverables, managing risks, and maintaining stakeholder alignment. Building strong relationships across Finance, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Member Experience teams is essential to ensuring that strategies are well-grounded in operational realities. The Director serves as the connective tissue between the senior strategy team and business units, promoting organizational alignment and adoption of new initiatives.
Candidates for this role will ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field and bring 3-5 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, strong financial and analytical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing cross-functional projects in complex environments are fundamental to success in this position. A background in hospitality, sports & entertainment, consumer, or private-equity-backed businesses is considered a strong advantage.
