The Customs Brokerage Team Lead is tasked with supervising and guiding a team of Customs Operations Specialists to ensure that customs entries and shipments are processed efficiently and in accordance with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. This role is responsible for managing daily performance metrics, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring that shipment clearance processes adhere to internal compliance standards and external regulatory requirements. The Team Lead oversees multiple facets of customs brokerage, including processing shipments for timely clearance, maintaining communication with customer service and global service centers, and managing vital documentation and reporting tools such as Sector ComBox Mailbox and daily workflow reports. The Team Lead also assumes a supervisory responsibility consistent with 19 CFR 111, ensuring responsible oversight at all times. They play a pivotal role in maintaining operational quality by conducting audits, supporting low-performance processors, training staff, and promoting adherence to established customs processing standards. The role involves interaction with high-value accounts, resolving challenges, and leading customer-focused calls to enhance service delivery. Flexibility in work hours, including potential weekend shifts, is essential to maintain continuous support for the team and meet customer requirements.
