This particular role involves working within the customs entry operations team, responsible for the processing and classification of international shipments according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS). The Customs Entry Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance with government agencies, including adherence to customs regulations and procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced understanding of entry writing, handle interaction with international and domestic carriers, and collaborate with overseas offices to facilitate smooth freight forwarding. Located within a 50-mile radius of the job site, this position requires the ability to manage customs documentation, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate freight delivery effectively. Candidates will engage with finance and accounting teams to reconcile exchange issues and maintain accurate records through imaging systems. In addition, the role entails preparing reports and analyses with the use of various software databases, communicating effectively with clients and foreign partners, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Due to operational needs, the position includes a rotating weekend and holiday schedule.
