In this role, employees are the frontline representatives of U-Haul's exceptional service, assisting customers with rentals, inspecting and maintaining moving equipment, and ensuring that all vehicles and trailers meet safety standards. The position includes hands-on work with U-Haul’s state-of-the-art technology such as the smartphone-based U-Scan system, which facilitates efficient management of rentals and inventory. Besides assisting customers inside and outside the U-Haul center, employees will engage in physically active tasks such as moving and hooking up trucks and trailers, cleaning equipment, checking fluid levels, and performing equipment inspections. This position also involves responsibilities like preparing rental invoices, accepting returns, installing hitches and trailer wiring, and handling propane filling and forklift operation, with certification provided upon employment.
