The Bistro Server position involves a variety of tasks centered around guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. This includes setting up the work area with necessary supplies, taking and inputting food and beverage orders accurately, handling payments, and communicating guests’ special dietary needs or allergy alerts to the kitchen. You may also be called upon to prepare certain food and beverage items, including coffee and alcoholic drinks, particularly during peak periods or when staffing is limited. Safety and compliance form a critical part of the Bistro Server’s responsibilities. Following requirements related to alcohol service, adhering to OSHA and MSDS safety standards, and practicing sustainable hospitality methods show the hotel's dedication to responsible service and environmental care. The role also demands physical endurance as servers stand for extended periods, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds.
