The Restaurant Supervisor role at Calvary Chapel is a full-time (40 hours per week), hourly, non-exempt position based in Fort Lauderdale. This position is pivotal in managing the Grill Ministry's daily operations, ensuring both exemplary customer service and a spiritually uplifting environment that aligns with Calvary Chapel’s ministry values. Reporting to the Food Services Operations Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the front of the house activities, managing staff schedules, handling cash and point-of-sale (POS) systems, and maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and sanitation. The Supervisor will work closely with the Executive Chef, Grill General Manager, and church leadership to ensure cohesive communication and smooth operations. This role requires a person who is deeply committed to customer satisfaction and capable of teaching, training, and mentoring staff, including facilitating their spiritual growth and prayer support. The Supervisor is tasked with maintaining a Christ-centered work environment, setting an example in conduct and performance, and carrying out responsibilities that range from regimenting opening and closing procedures to inventory and cost control. Additional duties include interviewing and training new hires, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing daily sales tracking, and promoting the Grill Restaurant within the local community through outreach and social engagement. Ideal candidates will bring a sincere heart for ministry, strong interpersonal skills, leadership qualities, and organizational expertise. The position requires flexibility, endurance for physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods, and the ability to work evenings or weekends when necessary for special events or emergencies.
