Currently, Legends Global has immediate openings for Kitchen Leads, Cooks, and Chefs to join their team at the Del Mar Fairgrounds & Racetrack for the 2025 Breeders' Cup and the Fall Meet horse racing season running from October 30 to November 30, 2025, with the upcoming season set to begin in the summer. These are seasonal roles that demand availability during high-volume, fast-paced events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly on October 31 and November 1 for the Breeders' Cup. The kitchen positions involve working in race-day clubs, premium suites, concessions, and other hospitality settings requiring keen attention to detail and a commitment to upholding banquet and food safety standards. The role of Kitchen Lead, Sous Chef, or Chef at Legends Global requires managing culinary stations, executing banquet event orders (BEOs), and leading kitchen staff in preparing high-quality dishes to meet exacting standards. Candidates must be adept at kitchen organization, inventory management, waste control, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Additionally, they will oversee food expo and service timing, coordinating closely with front-of-house teams to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery. Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff such as line cooks and stewards is also a crucial responsibility. Cooks are expected to prepare menu items according to recipe specifications, maintain clean stations, and support buffet presentations while following food safety and sanitation requirements.
